As the topic states, does the Vu+ Uno scan 8PSK Turbo? I found it uses BCM7413.

I was able to get some info on the Duo (http://www.broadcom.com/products/Satellite/Satellite-Set-Top-Box-Solutions/BCM7335)that it can tune DVB-S2 8PSK Turbo (http://www.broadcom.com/products/Satellite/HDTV-SDTV-Video,-Graphics,-and-Receiver-Products/BCM4506).

yes once the FPGA is upgraded via a simple software patch the uno can tune into 8PSK transponders fine.

You mean to say 8PSK turbo, yes?

to be honest i did not realize there was a difference but that said the Uno has a far better tuner than the duo and can tune to every thing the duo can without any problems at all.

Okay i suppose I can't go wrong with the Uno. I have here the dm800hd that can't tune a single one of the turbo 8psk channels from certain transponders while the providers' stb can tune with no problems.
