ok,

so i just got my first ex5000, and all i wanted to know is, what is the benefit of doing a deep san as opposed to a power scan?
Also, with the latest version of firmware loaded, im assuming tha i longer need to input codes? I ask because I can only find 11 movie channels and i assumed there were more.

Also, how do I get any of the ppv channels, as if i go to them, it just dsplayes the usual title page with info on ordering the channel.

i always thought that a deep scan and a power scan are the same thing,maybe Im wrong ? if so would think a deep scan would take longer perhaps ..
You will see the PPV channels when they are broadcast,at the time they are broadcast,till then they are just adverts .....11 movie channels sounds about right to me,and you are right with the latest firmware installed there is no need to input codes .....

Update just found out a deep scan can take up to 2 hours,so your choice ....
