Car Alarm

I recently bought a 1996 toyota rav 4 but unfortunately the remote alarm fob didn't come with it. Is there any way to find a fob that will work. The toyota garage was less than useless when I tried to get information. Thanks in advance.:help:

well as a rule with factory alarms you usually buy a "blank" fob and then programme it to your car...there is a sequence to programming usualy by switching the ignition on off etc..but this differs with manufacturer

if it is that old maybe consider new alarm as most alarms life span maybe 6 years.
