Hello!

I just want to ask if any of you know if its possible to swap a 170 hp motor from a 2007 w211 220cdi into a 2005 w211 220 cdi that from factory had a 150 hp motor. If its possible I will try to code the 170hp ecu to the EZS.
Anyone know if this is possible using DAS developer?
I still havent got the engine into shop, but rumours tell that the 2007 170 hp version use a lucas ecu while the 150 HP version use Bosch EDC16.
Is it possible make the new engine ecu virgin by DAS dev, and will the Change ECU function in DAS accept a different tupe of ECU?

Sorry for asking if this is a stupid question..:)

No you cant make virgin ECU with DAS.

you will need to read eprom in ecu and make virgin to recode with star it will work ok after that

Motor in its way in..:)
I opened ECU and found one memory S29CD016G. Is the immo info in this chip, or another one? Is it possible to do the job onboard trough BDM port or do I have to remove it and use eprom prgrammer.
What programmer do I need for the immo chip?

delphi ecu's can be readed with a lot of tools , e.g. EVC BDM , byteshooter , and so ....

Now I managed to wire in a bdm setup, but, the ECU family was not supported by my bdm. Anyway I got two reads from the read all option. Any of you knowledgeable guys that are capable to find out if this read is useable to make my ecu virgin?
Im on deep water here..:)

I post this anyway, just if someone would be helpful..:)
