I bet you didn't do a NAND backup this is the first important job you must do just in case your brick it. If you haven't done this softmod it again and just choose the third option Prepare SD card so you can use BootMii to do the NAND backup. There are tutorials on backing up the NANND on here and installing PriiLoader.

http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f16/4-3-mod-157379/index19.html

http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f16/how-back-your-nand-install-priiloader-109168/

You don't say how old or which version your Wii is. The later Wii's have a different DVD drives so you can't play burnt discs with NeoGamma. Type your Wii serial number into

Wii Drive Chip Database (http://www.wiidrives.com/list)

The main reason for softmodding is so you can play games of an external hard drive with the 3 main USB Loaders. There is a sticky tutorial on here and plenty of threads that talk about them.

Hi Keith many thanks for your reply I did a NAND back up(I think) is that when you go in bootmii and do the back up where the green moves across the screen with the odd black one ? Sorry for technical terminology ***128522; our wii is quite old 08/09 I think but will find out and version 4.3e and I'm gonna read your guide on priiloader coz I like knowing stuff Once again many thanks

Thats ok dagz not many people know about backing up their NAND. You must save the [bootmii] folder and files in there along with nand.bin and keys.bin of the root of the SD card somewhere very safe.

Yes I would concentrate on getting PriiLoader 0.7 installed to block online and disc updates plus you can do other tweaks. Digital Kaos - Downloads - priiloader v0.7 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/priiloader-v0-7-1603/)

and I would also do a sysCheck so you can see which IOS's are being used.

Digital Kaos - Downloads - sysCheck v2.1.0 Beta 11 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/syscheck-v2-1-0-beta-11-1918/)

There are plenty of things you can download in the Wii download section on here.

Digital Kaos - Downloads - Wii (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/dlcat-wii-16/)

Just follow the guide linked to by keith. All the guides on here have been tried and tested many times mate. As said before nand backup and priiloader installation should be the first things done before installing any wads as they are the protection from bricking.

First of do a sysCheck as I've said.

When you install PriiLoader you will see at the top uses IOS58 so you may as well install IOS36 and IOS58. Now I always use MMM 13.4 which in the download section

Usbloader gx 2.3 r1128 and d2x v7 with mmm 13.4 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/usbloader-gx-2-3-r1128-d2x-v7-mmm-13-4-1978/)[/URL]

Just copy MMM folder from that download into the apps folder on the SD card along with any wad files in the wad folder, make a wad folder on the SD card if you don't have one..

Yes USB Loaders generally use cIOS249 but in that dx2 v7 Final there are all the IOS wads that are used in USB Loaders. For certain games you my need to change the IOS used to another number in the settings for that game.

e.g.
Modern Warfare 3 needs to use IOS250.

In MMM install all the d2x wads then your covered. After each wad is installed you will get an OK message make sure you get the same OK on each wad. If one doesn't install select that wad number again and keep trying until it says OK.

Can you post a syscheck dagz ios 249 should not be stubbed. You may need to run modmii and select update softmod then put your syscheck csv file into modmii when prompted

In simple terms you have blocked all ios ports that are stubbed. In this case almost every single one that is used for softmod, also ios 36 isn't patched and should be. You need to redo the softmod, it is a mess, by the way it easier for us to read your syscheck if you open it with wordpad instead of notepad, so as I said run modmii and put your csv syscheck file into it and then install all the wads it downloads for you then you will be sorted. Well at least at a decent starting point

you dont need to wipe anything else off.
just start modmii select virgin install which you will find if you type w for wizard install answer a few questions let it download your files to sd card also ask for custom guide reinstall everything from afresh it a easy job should only take 10 mins to mod once you have the files.

Yes you should have read my instructions on posting the syscheck report in the sysCheck download page, use WordPad to open the file then copy and paste what it shows.

I don't know what behind the idea of posting it in black?

The fact that IOS249 (rev 65280): Stub is still a stub means you haven't installed the cIOS wads in d3x v7 Final (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/d2x-v7-final-1913/)

You have installed IOS58.

Install all the wads in d2x v7 Final again.

Yes ModMii in the download section is 4.3.4 so download the newer version ModMii 5.1.1 (http://code.google.com/p/modmii/downloads/list) if you want to use that.

ModMii.exe runs from inside Windows. If you want to check which updates are needed you type in UC then type in the location of the sysCheck.csv so its easiest to put it on the root of your hard drive then type in c:\sysCheck.csv or what ever your drive letter is. This will put all the update wads in the COPY TO SD CARD sub folder.

Copy the wads from that folder to the wad folder on the SD card and install them with MMM.

It will make a MMM folder in the apps folder if this is newer than your copy those files as well, look at the creation date.

I didn't know it auto updated until I've just ran it again.

Ok I've just run ModMii 5.1.1 with a new sysCheck.csv after the last update I did and it says I need

cIOS202[60]-v5.1R.wad
cIOS222[38]-v4.wad
cIOS223[37-38]-v4.wad
cIOS224[57]-v5.1R.wad

Which if you look are the exact same files as before. I checked the sysCheck.csv and they were installed last time and they verified OK so why does it say I need them again?

This time I ran it it stalled and did nothing for ages and it says if it hangs for a long time press Ctrl+C then N and it carries on.
