The car was basically a non runner when It come to me, as we know it had a ~~~~~ed coil driver. When I was in the UK over xmas I got a used ECU, plugged in and it fired up, the woman that owns the car bloke has been having a little play with it before I got to it to see if he could fix the problem & it looks like someone else has been having a large play with it before, have a look at the throttle stop screw, its now doing this

I have tried another MAF from a running well Escort and it does the same

I really have not got the time and initiative to start pissing about with it as they want the car back and dont really want to spend much money on the pile of shite, so if anyone has had this problem before please let me know so I can go straight to it, if not it can go back as it is

That is exactly how my old briggs&stratton lawnmower used to run before I replaced the diaphram under the carb :roflmao:

Have you checked the breather/air hose at the back? they alway collapse on these engines and cause problems.

I can yes but I really cant be asred, it sound like it running real rich when MAF is plugged in and maybe the ECU is cutting the fuel

1) Not going to argue with a fellow VIP member - on the n/s shocker top - CO adjust pot?

3) Not going to argue - the battery thing - is there any of the earth wires hanging off?

4) If nobody is looking, give the airflow another earth - if it has a solid 12volt one.

5) Where is the AIT?
