Hi folks

i have a motorised dish with twin lnb alsat i think.
anyway one side is conected up through the motor to my dm800 and the other direct to a dm500 problem is the signal is weaker from the dm500 than of that on the dm800 causing me not to view channels on the dm500 any ideas on this

should be no difference in the 2 outputs , but there will be a difference in the internal tuners of the boxes

try placing the good receiver on the bad feed and checking the channels , if its good on both feeds then its the tuners giving different results , which I would expect anyway

plugged the dm500 to the feed downstairs and all works great so the input from the 1 side is lower than the other but what i cant understand is bbc1 2 itv and loads of others are 90snr and 95 sg whats going on

polarity could have gone on 1 side of the lnb.. have you checked the downlead for damage as kinks can cause havoc. you could be getting the low band on the 2nd feed., do you get channels from the full spread of frequncies/bands/polaraties on the second feed? regards mdt
