hi all is their a certain height that a dish has to be or on the side of the house?? for instance could a 1m motorised dish be place on a pole in the garden??? thanx ( just wondering)

There is no minimum height as long as it clears the ground.The only other factor affecting height is any thing in the way like trees,then the dish would have to see over them.The dishpionter web site is very usefull when selecting were to put your dish.

I know this looks rough and ready but its been up over 3yrs and works a treat scaffold pole is set in concrete in the ground with just a steady bracket to the shed. I"v got another on the house front wall but keep them all low as its much easier to adjust them.

quality m8, am looking to move house so just wanted to pick a few brains in case i wasnt able to put on wall south facing!!!

i like how you have hidden that away firestorm is the fence panel missing just to make a little bit more roomlol, Nice one

I just removed the fence panel so i got a good line of view.To be honest i dont use the dish much any more it was to get 7w for the football(i use the 1m one on the wall that you can see in the background).But it worked well and the bottom of the dish was only 18" of the ground.
