Picked up a cheap black dreambox 500s today, whats the best firmware to run?

cheers for that, just downloaded it, how do i flash the box, do i need a null modem cable? sorry i have a x403p, so the dreambox is totally new to me. Will this pick up 28.2e, or will i need to do a channel scan?

it will pick up 28.2 e yes, and u will need a channel scan, youve got a big learning curve ahead of you.. best way to flash is a null modem, best option is to read the stickies in red here ENIGMA1 Chat (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f213/)

Thats great, can not wait to get my box delivered now, yeah im so use to my x403p, but its to basic, but the people on this forum are great, so im sure ill get it working once it arrives.
