Mpps with edc16 vag

I have Mpps V5 so many times I try to read for EDC16 ecu audi, passat, golf ... but I failed, I still get the message: need external power supply.
What is there as another method to read this ecu via boot mode and is what you can help me.

first you need to do immo off, and then you can flash it on the bench. or simply use BDM

no problem with ec16 vag with mpps clone any version
perhaps bad clone or something wrong with your soft/windows

Hello I have same problem... EDC15 work well but EDC15 VAG do not read.. what do you use for update pleas?

i would check the mpps,is it a china clone,i had this problem with my v5.it kept hitting and missing on the vag edc15....

Remove dash fuse and try again with Mpps.
