Dodge Sprinter odometer problem

i just got Dodge sprinter 2007 with no odometer reading, only dots shows, and the transmishion does not shift. it just stay on first gear.
The code shows me:
U0423 Invalid Data Received from instrument panel control module.
Could the gauge cluster cause the problem?
or the EZS ,
