hi all would like to kno how to format an xbox 360 hd which has been placed into a sata case as my laptop doesnt register it when i connect to it?

Is your case working? Try to remove from case and plug it into your PC and format.

i downloaded a win7 upgrade advisor after running prog it said it was compatable & i found it in the printers section in my comp but as a bridge????

u need to take the hdd out of the xbox casing then manual instal it to ur pc to format it
put it back together and replug into xbox should work fine
