Read pincode to program new key golf 1998

i friends, i have zedbull and silca sbb and sdd, I was not able to read the pin code for serial, I now want to remove the 'immobox and I want to read the file to extract the pincode.

I tried to program the key but it asks me to recognize the new key the pincode. does not work with zedbul, dont read'it...

the car is a Ww golf 1.4 petrol 1998 ... where is the box code?
how to read the immo code to other metod?

No immo box.

Immo is in dash eeprom.

it's possible to read to obd ? i have also the vagcom11.8, and some serial....

Yes m8, its possible to read via obd. But not with VAGCOM.

There is a motometer dash usually fitted to pre year 2000, GTI version that even my abrites didnt seem to read pin on , the one i tried.

Last time left it searching for 1.5 hours with no results.

Post the dump here and you'll get the pin.

Just immo off - remove the key light - deny all knowage

if u need the pin code and its not readable by your key programer you just have to read the dump from the dash and post it

Yes Meaty,

And replace your right hand with a hook, paint a few of your teeth gold.

Smile at the punter while you're handing them back a steel key with your hook hand.

A pirate's patch over your eye and / or a parrot on your shoulder would finish off the scenario very nicely...;)

I try to avoid vag group cars as they always piss me off, but I found myself at a 2000 golf gti, owner drilled through transponder to add key ring!!

motometer dash, nothing I got could read pin code, piece of sh!t.

Is there anyway of reading eeprom via obd?? or is it dissassemble time??

AD claim their Pro units will read them all now, although I havn't tried yet.

You can get the dash out, read it and refit it in about 15 minutes so its not too much hassle.

Problem solved, i have used the vag k+can cable, and have read good pincode.

k can commander and handheld its it pulls 95% for the older vw,audi, seat and skodas iv only had about 6 that iv had to read via eeprom

I tried sbb but no go on golf gti 2000 with motometer dash.

I have k+can but find it very difficult to use as mostly in german, managed to change miles to km's by mistake on A3 2007 year and couldnt change it back!

for Audi a3 from 2006 u can switch by Km to Mile and Mile to Km just with wiper switch.

I found this out later, but the point I was making was that k can is not entirely in english and I didnt knowingly command any changes.
