hi m8

you keeping well

blades have cccam and newcamed ready when you flash it with the latest patched firmware you will find on dk then download the channel list from the blade online menu

then hit 9991 on any channel and there you can enter your line

they are a good box for the money you will enjoy it

you will find the latest firmware in the link below, you should always install the patched firmware like the 1 below as the official version doesn't have the 9991 menu for your c line.

hi billy

i would not see any of the 2 blade or bm any better then each other

it just depends what you want a box for

if you need a box for hobbie ,intrested in the sat side of things and want a box to spend a lot of time learning go for a dm very good at what it can do being open sourced.

if you need a box for veiwing sat channels in first class hd and sd picture

simple to set up 20 mins, simple to use, has a 7 day epg menu ,channel update thru the controller in the blade online menu and simple to record onto ext h/drive. then the blade is the one to go for its very good for a closed sourced box

hi billy thats why i stated the open and closed source

and as i said its all about what you want the box for

i have just ordered a new box from china to test try out which is a copy of a vu duo with twin tuners which should be a good open source enigma2 box and at 200 is well priced for its specs

so if you hold of in buying for a week or two i can let you know how good or bad it is

there is a guy on here data7 he has a couple and says there fine so im going to try one

Im looking at buying one if these 7000's. Does the external usb hdd need to be mains powered? or will a portable usb drive do the job??

Cheers

hi
a portable usb drive will power itself from the bladebox no problems

setfire i dont use usals yet so cant comment on that but i have not seen anyone complain yet so should be ok and the youtube works ok most of the time

seems like a nice easy box to set up but can i just ask
once you have put the latest firmware in will the box
continue to work without having to keep updating
the firmware.
as this would be a perfect box for my mum,

thanks......bj1

its the channel list that will need frequent updating as channels get moved about a lot , otherwise you dont have to update the firmware constantly , its good to do so but not essential
