View Full Version : bmw E60 eeprom location

can someome give me some advice of how to get to the eeprom on this e60 2005 cluster. i see ribbons between both boards and the whole thing feels like it wants to come out, with the exception of the black plug. its not moving. is there a a hidden screw, tip secret on how to remove as i am stuck. Thanks.

The black connector has four small clips holding it. They are at the base of the connector. Whilst applying a bit of pressure to separate the board from the back, press each clip inwards with a fine screwdriver or something else that will reach them. The back will then release. Remove the needles and small ribbon connectors and separate the circuit board from the white plastic. Arthur.
