I have soft modded wii 4.3e and got usb loader gx working. I can play games so to my next trick which I need help with.
I have WiiMC but it says that I cannot play dvd movies until I have ico202. Is there a way of playing these dvds. If so how?

wiimc used to install iso202 when you ran wiimc installer but the newer versions dont need it try WiiMC Downloads (http://www.wiimc.org/downloads/)

install priiloader Digital Kaos - Downloads - priiloader v0.7 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/priiloader-v0-7-1603/)

Done the above. It loaded ok but never went back to loader screen.
I am now supposed to restart the wii and hold the reset.
It should now reboot in the Priiloader menu. If it doesn't, power off the wii, then power it back on and hold reset while it's booting until you see it.
Now here is a question that'll make you think ''how the heck did he get this far'' but when it says hold the reset whilst booting how do I do that. What is the reset button?

Cheers everyone. I had to use hacks_hash.ini instead of the one in the zip file to get it to recognize the hacks but I have it working.
Disabled disc and system updates

rapscallion - No PriiLoader, who's softmod tutorial did you use? Now wonder people brick their Wii's.
My WiiMC plays and I don't have IOS202 installed.
There is another DVD player you can use MPlayer CE if you want to.

I softmodded a friends black 4.2E Wii yesterday and I tried to get WiiMC to work is said it needs cIOS202 which I installed but it still didn't play a genuine DVD, the same DVD plays on my Wii. It said DVD format not recognised.

Keith are you looking for help with wiimc, if so is your friends wii older. If I remember correctly the older chips work better with older versions of mplayer and wiimc for playing dvds. By older I mean able to play backups from disc
Edit....If it's black it won't have an older drive doh!!!! Did you install the rodries mod of 202

It was a black 4.2E until I updated it to 4.3E so I could use LetterBomb. I installed cIOS202[57]-v5.wad that I installed on mine and mine plays the same DVD without a hitch.
I did the online update for WiiMC as I did on mine a few days ago. The newer version is 1.2.2 on IOS58.

The rodries mod of ios 202 has a 60 base giving the wad name of cIOS202[60]-v5.1R you will find it in this pack if you want to give it a try Digital Kaos - Downloads - Full Cios wad pack (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/full-cios-wad-pack-1949/) it may make a difference having a 60 base. The other alternative is to download and install the full version of the latest wiimc instead of the update found here WiiMC Downloads (http://www.wiimc.org/downloads/)

Yes I've found cIOS202[60]-v5.1R.wad but the Wii as gone back to Birmingham tonight I don't think he will really be bothered about it so long as his USB Loaders are working.

Are you using good quality DVD's something like Verbatim dvd-r. Don't bother with these 50 for a ?5. What are you using to burn these DVD's? ImgBurn (http://www.filehippo.com/download_imgburn/) appears to be the best one.
You maybe 4.3E now but what was the system version before as the later Wii's have a different DVD player that doesn't allow you to play burnt games.
You would be better of just sticking with USB Loader GX than buying loads of quality DVD's just to play a game.
Oh you burn DVD's at a very slow speed x2 or x4.

Yes I've found cIOS202[60]-v5.1R.wad

cIOS202[60]-v5.1R.wad
cIOS222[38]-v4.wad
cIOS223[37-38]-v4.wad
cIOS224[57]-v5.1R.wad
IOS11v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP]).wad
IOS20v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP]).wad
IOS30v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP]).wad
IOS40v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP]).wad
IOS50v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP]).wad
IOS52v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP]).wad
IOS60v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP]).wad
IOS70v16174(IOS60v6174[FS-ES-NP-VP-DIP]).wad

Not 100% sure keith but it looks like all the system wads have been combined with a maxed out ios 60 to protect against bricking caused by any future ninty system updates....I had all the same system ios maxed out individually while I was removing darkcorp
