I think Patch 153p is the latest for your box, have you tried this ?
The latest softcam can be found here...

as Carew6 says it depends on the patch your using
try a few different patches from Technomate software online (http://www.technomatesoftware.co.uk/index.php?dir=TM5000%20series%20receivers/5000%20Super%20Series/5400CI%20Super%205600CI%20Super/)

guys,

i experemented with a tech 6800 hd , patch + sofcam and 39 came on straight away, i will try solving the 5400 problem later on, what is a bit irritating is the array of different patches for differnt models, i also use a spiderbox which is a breeze to use, anyhow thanks for your help, much appreciataed

its just a variation of the 5400 super your box wont accept it if its not, there is no 154 patch for the normal super to be honest I"m not sure what if any difference there is(tried unsuccessfully to find out once)but if its newer than september 2011 it may well be an M2.but the patches are not interchangeable,it wont do any harm it just wont load.

yes i tried it and it statad incapatable mode. what i think i will do is leave it for now and carry on putting the softcams and patches in it and maybe one day it will work, meanwhile my spiderbox 9000 and technomate 6800 hd they both get the pictures on 39e so i have still got a choice, anyhow thanks all the same

well i have been thinking, i get a good signal on the vertical 90% for 39e but no picture and i have been speaking to some people they have the dish on horizontal to get the 39e, i think one day i will twist the lnb the opposite way and see if it works like that, on the spider and teck6800 its no problem on the vertical, but one day i will try it the other way horiizontal etc!

not quite sure what you mean in your last post,But if you are on a motorised dish its not advisable to alter skew(twist) of the lnb leave it at "0".you should get the the following Transponders no problem with just about equal high quality 11.052V 30000 & 12.524H 30000 they both have FTA channels on and you should get good clear pictures on both,if not its an alignment problem.

If in fact you have a fixed dish and have been moving it manually you need approx 25 degrees of skew for bulsat, thats anti-clockwise when looking from behind the dish

sorry i had been speaking to someone else, anyhow i do have a fixed dish but i have the lnb twisted to the left hand side of the dish on the verticals where i think the lnb should be twisted to the right hand side of the dish on the horizontols and possibly thats were i have been going wrong as far as trying to get the picture on the 5400, on a nice evening or decent evening i am going to tweek the lnb right round to where it should be, i think it has been a mistake by me

You leave the lnb skewed in position for v+h you dont change.
