just check what links are broken and fix it back .. It's not a big deal , but is a "delicate" work ...
Otherwise you will need other BSI , pin codes , PPS2000 and one disappointed client ...
BTW : 95160 can be read in circuit with a lot of eeprom programmers

Thanks mate, I will try to fix it tomorrow with a fresh head. For some reason digimaster won't read 95160 in circuit, I have DSPIII+, but only just got it and haven't had time to work out wat cable and war adapters.
At the moment I have the 95160 programmed at 0 km, should I program it to the new intended mileage or leave it at 0 ? I wanna get it right while the bsi is still open.
Thanks again for your reply

Could you fix 95160? if you could put km to cero and program dash with desired km.
If not put a virgin memory and program with pps2000, you need pin and vin.

Sorry but I didn't understand, is it possible to program the new bsi 95160, with dump from the old broken 95160, and put it in the car without coding it ?

If you broke memory's legs you can fix them to read it.
You should use a dremel, to drill the black coverage o get the pin connector into the memory.
Then you must solder a thin wire there.
Once you repair broken legs sometimes you can read memory.
Then you progran a new one with the original values.
If you can`t read it you can put a virgin memory and program Bsi with pps2000, you need pin and vin

Hi,
Read your old bsi dump. Save it.
write this dump in a new used bsi. Try to program in-circuit. Job done

Thanx mate, but there is nothing wrong with my memory. 95160 is good not broken.
The bsi pcb, is connected to the white board underneath with copper links, few of those links are broken.
I have the dump from original 95160, my question is, if I program a new bsi with that original dump from the broken bsi, will it work, or need more programming ?
Thanks

If Bsi is the right ( the same piece than the original ) one will be ok

Guys, I fixed the broken bsi, copper links were crooked and broken, anyway put it all together, programmed it to 0 km,
Then I programmed dash nec to 75000 km,
Put it all in the car, followed soft re boot procedure,
Started the car, car showing 0 km, windows working, remote working, km going up, took it for a drive, half watt thru, wiper started going off, engine light, airbag light etc, started coming on, wiper and lights would not turn off, remote stopped working, etc
So parked the car and disconnected the battery,
My question : IS THE BSI F*****D ?
Good news is, if it is, atleast I don't have to tow it to the dealership, still drives :)

Anywhere I can find a used or new bsi on the net ? Here in Australia the dealer wants 1300$ for a new bsi fitted and coded, and can't find a bsi at any wreckers. Is there any website or place in europe I can buy a cheap bsi from
