Good morning everybody, looks like i have a big problem in my DM 800 PVR (I think clone - Sim 2.1). I know that this problem has been already discussed and many solutions has been given and that solution i try to follow but i still have the problem so, before to through away my DM :s: i wuold like to understand if i made some mistakes or i have to follow other way. The problem is very simple: after a working business trip, i comeback at home and i saw in the display of the DM "multimedia...---- error". Since was a "surprise" for me, the first thing that i have done, simple reboot and, of course io get same message. I start to read in the forum and i read a lot of information and how to solve the matter and i was quite happy but, after following it, i still receive the same message. What i have done:
1 - connect the DM with a null cable and with a ethernet cable to a pc;
2 - use the Dream-up "patched version"; after connection the "Flash" button was unable so, using the program to enable the button, i try to load the image (DE 1.0) which i used before. I receive the message "File too big".
3 - at the same time it appear to the DM the IP which i assign in dreaup-up and try to connect via web and load the image: after loading and rebooting, again "errror".
4 - Download from the network the SecondStage file for my image (secondstage-dm800se-84.nfi) and try to upload again with dreum-up. When i try to upload the file, again in the receiver i get the IP and in dream-up just "checksum....." without reaction. After that i try to upload again the image via web (because with dream-up i always receive message "too big") but now way to solve, error, again error.
Now, before to say that "i have to through away" my DM and buy a new one, can someone which have experience on this give me a more help to try to give "life" again to my DM ?
Thanks a lot in advance for any possible support.
Leo

I had the error only message on a box and it turned out to be the sim card.it might be worth opening the box and giving it a clean, put it back and make sure it's seated properly and has good contact.

First of all, thanks for kindly answer. Well, i remove the sim (it is write 2.0.1 on it) I well clean and set back checking that it was well connected, also i confirm that my box is DM800 HD PVR and the bootloader should be 58 (??)
Regarding the link which you sent me, i downloaded it, there are inside several ssl.nfi, from 1 to 9 and what i repeat again:
1 - open Dream-up Patched;
2 - connect the null modem ONLY between pc and box
3 - after connection (after uploading flash loader) i get the message: NO CA FOUND BY 2ND STAGE LOADER, PLEASE CONTACT...... the flash button is not activated and in the display of the box again error! NO CA FOUND. So, with DM800_repair i enable the grey flash button and try to load before the file secondstage-dm800se-84.nfi after all (one by one) the ssl file and after again one image. In all cases i get : "file to big".
I didn't use LAN connection for the moment. Any other suggestion?

I would like to put at your attention one point: if i use Dream-Up 1.3.3.9, after "uploading flash loader" is finish, i didn't get the error "NO CA FOUND...." in Dream-up (but i still receive it in the display of box), even if the Flash button is still Grey. If i activate the button at the same way of before (DM800_repair tool), when i try to flash any file in dreum-up, in the display of box appear : boot#84 for few seconds and after an ip address and under SERIAL SETUP, even if the lan cable is disconnected and the check box "Use Network" in dreamup is disabled. While in Dream up appears "Calculatich checksum" without any reaction.
Please give me a solution..:-(((

Thanks to both of you and sorry for late answer but sometime i have to work also :embarassed:
Could you please explain me or better suggest me, accordingly with my problem, which i should do before? I download both file, the first thing that i have done is to connect it via null modem and run the procedure for correction of NO CA FOUND. When he asked me the IP, i connect the cable and the system tell me that cannot find ssl17.nfi (in the file which i download there is only from 1 to 9). COuld yuo please suggest me what to do ? Buy the way i tried to flash an image, but after reboot again error. I really don't know what else do !!
Thanks again.

Athor info which i can give you is that, it looks like the upload of image finish correct but when try to do the reboot said : http 4.0 not found ... he don't restart and, anyway, if i manually reboot, i receive agan the error message....
I start to suspect that i have to troght away this box :-((( i also remove and clean one more time the sim (which i confirm 2.0.1)...bit nothing. no answer....no signal the only one thing is that assign the IP given from the sofware i believe.
