i use this Bavarian Technic BMW Diagnostic Tester
i paid ?425 on ebay for the pro kit

Bavarian Technic BMW & Mini Cooper Software Diagnostic Tools (http://www.bavariantechnic.com/)

Bavarian Technic BMW Diagnostic Tester, BMW TESTER | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bavarian-Technic-BMW-Diagnostic-Tester-BMW-TESTER-/230735668064?pt=UK_Diagnostic_Tools_Equipment&hash=item35b8eae360)

I think thats more of a generic diagnostic tool. I don't think it would work on say a 2012 bmw.

I need something similar to gt1 but for 2009 onwards bmw's

Just curious what you hope to achieve? What tools do you already use/have just now, why only check and clear dtc's? What if the code doesn't clear... send the customer to someone who has the proper equipment to fix it or send customer to dealer?

The reason I ask is because the question you ask is the same one everyone in the local pub asks when they want to become diagnostic specialists because they need some extra pocket money.....

Finally, do you really want to plug in a cheap interface that may ~~~~ up a 30, 40, 50 grand car, also what price to you plan to charge for this service.

There is a reason why marquees like BMW Merc Porsche cost a lot of money to diagnose, they are not simple systems to work with (even when using real tools that cost a lot of money)

My apolgies if it sounds rude, but everyday we get cars in that cutomers have been robbed by these 'wannabe diagnostic specialists' who know ~~~~ all except how to lighten customers pockets for doing nothing, then complain they have no money left for us to fix there car

It seems from your reply that you are not a mechanic, your reluctance to answer basic questions (i.e what scanners you already have so people don't waste time and suggest them), good luck on your quest....

If you say so. Thanks for your help.

So back to the original question, if anybody knows of a tool that can edit and erase service schedules on Bmw models from 2009 onwards i would be very grateful if you could let me know.

Ista/d + icom emulator.

You can work with ISTA/D on e-series and f-series with dcan intarface.
