Hi Everyone
just joined but get the feeling i will be here an awful lot.
So just got a Wii second hand and its been softmodded has around 25 games on discs that all work.
My question is how do i find out what mod it has had and how to download games and if they should be IOS or this WD thing?
Wii is running 3.3E, no other channels except what you normally get. I put discs in and they appear in disc channel and away you go, apart from they are copied.
cheers in advance

Be very careful. If your backups play from the original disc channel you have dark corp installed which has modified the whole system. Any attempt to update from 3.3 will almost certainly brick the wii, so take that into account before trying to update anything.

ok that sounds concerning, i will deff be cautious. As i said original games work as do ones copied onto discs. Does that mean that i should only download the IOS games or the other WBFS?
I guess i am pretty stuck with it then?
thanks

You will need to install hbc, but the best thing you can do is redo the softmod which will safely remove darkcorp and install hbc in one go

No use this http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=1432576 it is for the pc. Run it then let it update and answer a few questions then select the wizard for full softmod. This will download all the required files and a tutorial

:ridinghorse:Hi:
I just joined the club. I had D2X v6 installed previously but since I upgrade to v7 my games do not work. I have tried WIIFLOW GX and some other, the only other thing I did was to duplicate my HHDD with WBFS MANAGER to have a backup. I already have Hermes CIOS and D"X cios as recomended. But I have a lot of problems with many games I ise to play before, like SSBW, Crash of titans, Tomb Rider, etc. ANy Help or Idea of what i am doing wrong.

Welcome to the forum.
But I have a lot of problems with many games I ise to play before, like SSBW, Crash of titans, Tomb Rider, etc. ANy Help or Idea of what i am doing wrong.
I'm assuming SSBW is Super Smash Brothers Brawl Woman that one game I don't have but both of my Tomb Raider games work.
You don't say which system version your using but if you post the sysCheck (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/syscheck-v2-1-0-beta-11-1918/) report as HH has stated it will show that on there.
You could alway put back d2x v6 if they used to work with those installed.

It looks ok except for the fact hbc is running on ios 61 instead of 58. What you should have done to make it more legible is to right click the csv file and select open with "wordpad" not notepad.
Edit just had a closer look and it seems your ios 61 has been stubbed out but you do have ios 58 installed so try reinstalling hbc into ios 58

You didn't read how to post the sysCheck did you? Open the file up with WordPad and copy and paste what it shows. You also used v14 which isn't very good. Why don't people listen to instructions on here?

Yes your using d2x v7 final. Are you going to try d2x v6 ans you say it worked with that version?
You could try ModMii (http://code.google.com/p/modmii/downloads/list) and see if it gives you any updated wads to install. If you choose SU from the menu its easier if you put the sysCheck.csv on the root of the drive as it saves typing in its location.

The WII is second hand and it was already set like that HBC on 61, excep the D2X that I installed them. It is my first date here so There are a lot of things I do not know and I have to read, sorry for the inconvinient. The WII recognised 40 of my 60 backups but with the rest of them it gets freeze after starting some times when loading, and I assume the main problem is the WIIMOTE loose comunication. So I borrowed another WII newer and I installed axactly the same but this time with HBC on 58 and I have the same problem WIIMOTE loose comunication when the game freeze. But I do not know what is first.
Sorry if some of my expresions are not very english but it was 10 since I wrote SHAKESPARE.

Ok so you've installed d2x but what version of the usb loaders are you using. If you are still using old versions they won't be as compatible with d2x as the newer ones are. Go into the settings on your loader an select update, assuming the wii is connected to the internet that is.

I Am usin GX 2.3, NEOGAM v9R56, WIIFLOW R417alpha4, CFGUSBloader v70. If would have been 1 or 2 games I would have suspected on the ISO, but it is 20 of them I have tried to go back to v6 but know I have the same problem with more or less same games.

I've noticed in one of your earlier posts that you have copied the drive..It sounds like some of the files have become corrupt during the transfer (for it to be so many the pc may have started and auto update during transfer screwing everything up) especially seeing as you are having the same problematic games if you transfer them to another drive. Best thing you can do is delete the games that aren't working (assuming you have another copy) and use the original iso to put them back onto the hdd. If you don't have the original iso use this cunning plan....load your drive onto wii backup manager on the pc then select the games that aren't working 1 at a time preferably and click the transfer tab and select iso...This will copy the game back to the pc as a 4.37gb iso...You then delete the game from the hdd and copy back the iso you have just created as a .wbfs (default setting in wiibackup manger)...This may not work for you but always has done in the past for me when i have had to do it with a game that was working but then stopped after drive transfer.

Thanks, I was thinking on using WBFS MANAGER but I will try WIIBACKUP MANAGER first. Problem was I do not have copy of all them because my kids has damaged some of the original DVD, that was the main reason to softmod the wii, protect the 40 Games I bought during years. Thanks.

windowa use to go on and off from sleep mode and I would have thought it may have damaged the copy but I was not convinced about the original. But as you said I have tried all I knew, so it is time to check the source.

Windows sleep mode is just a power saving device it doesn't corrupt any files.
