Dump data changing from 00 to 20 ??

Hi All

Im having problems when modified files are being sent to me. Basically whats happening is that when I open up a modded file, the bytes which should read 00 or 0000 are changing to 20 or 2020. This is then leading to the vehicle not starting. Does anyone know a solution to this pls?

Ok, Example.. edc15c2, read with galletto. Address 6BD00 - 6BE60 original dump contains all 00's. Tuner modifies file, emails back to me but when I open the file up (using tachodump/hex workshop/upa editor) the same section changes to 20 20 20... but tuner has not altered these bytes. There are areas in the dump where data has been altered to 20 by the tuner so I cant manually change all the 2's to 0's (zeros) as some of it doesn't need to be changed. Another example was when I sent a corsa d dash dump to another dk member to kindly modify for me (before I had the algo lol). On return a lot of the original 00's changed to 20's and the car wouldn't start. I could manually alter the 20 20...back to 00 00.. quite easily as I knew which 3 lines of data should have changed. Does this make sense :hmmmm2:

try openin files in xprog software

weird.......so you use 3x different programs,and they all say that the dump has changed,and with all the 3 programs you use,you cannot change the dump.....
