Do any of you guys know if its possible to connect my hd laptop to my 360 so that i can use its screen to play games? it has an hdmi socket but i dont know if its for output only.

you can by the 360 vga cable around a tenner in currys 20 quid game and that should hook up no problem to your laptop long as its got the standerd moniter connection .

No it won't.

The VGA port on his laptop is for displaying OUTPUT video, ie connecting the Laptop to an external monitor, it doesn't accept incoming VGA.

i know it can be done but ,, yeah your right if it out put only.

only other solution is usb s-video card .

In that case he may as well just hook it up to a TV. I think the OPs point was that he wanted to use his laptops screen because it is HD.

Pretty sure none of the Acers do as I repair a lot them and never seen VGA input on any of them...
