View Full Version : anyone played with seat cordoba immob

had issues with seat cordoba
wouldnt start
had key reader error
replaced key reader
started fine about 5 or 6 times

customer took car now wont start
they say after 20 minutes it woud not start again

does anyone know how these work
could it be an immobiliser ecu problem

i have to drive out to customers place tomorrow to see whats wrong and see if i have any error codes

is there a common thing that faisl in these

It may possibly be a bad connection on the back of the dash. What year it the car? Check and see if the same fault code is present.

sorry i started new post regarding this
as the customer is upset now and i need urgent help

old error was key reader so i changed it
now new error is key signal low
and im stuck

try to take the reader ring off and put it realy close to the key it may give a better signal

yes i tried afew things
just getting nowhere
not sure if i need to get new immob ecu
ive ordered an ecu reader so hopefully
it works on the engine ecu
will try get ecu dump thru obd2 and post up here
then see if anyone can disable immob
ive played with t300 abit but reading eeproms is new to me
i should not have touched this car

first key reader error
so fitted key reader
now getting key signal low
could it be the key
hard thing is each tie i buy parts they have to come from uk so thats 2 weeks each time

forgot to say its a petrol 1996 cordoba
not sure ecu number yet
will get dump first then go from there
i have t300 and sbb so might try reprogram key again

when i read the immob ecu with t300 it says there is 7 keys in storage
isnt that alot fo keys
