Hi,
I have broken amplifier BOSE (4F0035223F) from Audi A6. I would like change this amplifier to another but I have error: Component Protection Active.
Which part I need to move from the old module to the new?
I don't see any eeprom on board.
Help me please.
Thank You
Ed

What are the numbers?

On the top of part there is no any number. Maybe part number is on the bottom of power amplifier.

My problem is: where is the component protection?
Help me please.

hi!

i don't know on Dsp but normally cp is stored in a eeprom

93c86 st

if you have exactly same part number just swap it.

is the other one new?

I saw 3 diffrent types dsp.
2 type dsp bose and 1 normal dsp.

What are the numbers?

This is power amplifier TDA7575PD

Hi,

I found the solution of my problem.
Data for component protection is in two eeproms 25256.

did you tested? are you sure 100%?

Sorry for the long interval of time (I was in the hospital and I wasn't able to work). Bose just doesn't work correctly after changing only the eeproms. The program should be changed in a flash yet uC ST10 (Xprog M). After these three changes Bose is working properly. I tested 100%.

If i get a USED amp can I remove the CP with GEKKO? I do have access to GEKKO but i never try it with a used amp.

Hi!
Up this old thread...
I am looking dump, all set, 2x25256 and St10f269. Amplifier Bose 4F0 035 223 F.
After replacing MOST OS8104 and LM2940 device no startup. CP no problem, need test only hardware

My backup in attachments

Return old OS8104 and device will start. Why did you change OS8104 in the first place?

Changed because the old one was blown up. I changed to a new one.
It must be programmed?

I read the datasheet, only pin configuration.
if you know, ask for help.

You need tool to reset cp. AVDI do this. You have 2 chips 25256 you can to change them only if new and old DSP are same sw and hw- bootom side in the sticer.

CP is in the eeprom-U12. If you want to make cp you need to read only U12. After that dump is modify with reset cp-module is back to virgin state. AVDI will ask: 1-reflash of gateway 2-dump from gateway. I don't know for another tool that can make cp. If you want i can send dump with active and reseted cp for compare.

CP not problem. Need check hardware.

I don't think AVDI can make CP on this amplifier.. I'm pretty sure only the older BOSE (black) amplifier is supported. I tried to reset with AVDI and when given the dump it says dump is wrong size. It takes the dump from older amplifier fine. The difference is in dump sizes... 128kb on older vs 256kb on newer. So that is my problem. I can't make it work with AVDI. Is this solutions tested by you or only in theory?

Tested and work 100%. If you want dump readed by me to try.

Reviving an old thread again, but maybe this will help someone with more dumps/analysis.
Anyone feel free to chip in with more information..

CP in these A6 and Q7 amps is just annoying, and i've repaired quite a few now for water damage and regulator failure, and sometimes the amp just goes into CP mode, even though it's from the same car. As said above, CP is definitely in U12. I have tested when CP not active, sound through all the speakers, start the car - goes into CP, turn off, reprogram U12, CP is off and not active again (until you start the car).

There seem to be 2 different part numbers, 4L0 035 223 and 4F0 035 223 (035 223 is the same on both) and a letter at the end (revision??).

I have found 2 different ST10 processors: ST10F269 & ST10F272. When the dumps of 25256 from both is examined, there are differences, so if you're looking for a good dump, you probably need to use dumps from the same processor type.

ST10F269 flash seems to be identical with all models i've tried, but I can't get my orange5 programmer to read ST10F272 for some reason, I need to test more, anyone else had this?

Attached are AT25256 dumps from working amplifiers:
