Hello

I know this issue has been touched a couple of times before - but still

Have this IAW 1AP type of ECU need to reset / make immo off and cutting wires.

Problem is car has defective ECU but is far away from here therefore I would like to prepare new used ECU and take to car and start it.

Any one know way to confirm that immo off operation has been succesful with ECU on the bench ?
Plan to use tektronix TMS374 sweeper

Attached is picture of the inside ECU type

Thanks Zohar

This tiny sweeper I allready have.

What I need is a way to confirm that ECU has been cleared after sweep operation "on the bench"

Has seen other renault ECU where one output stopped flashing after memory was cleared very easy telling that clearing was ok/correctly done.

Hope there is a way to tell with those TMS374 Based ECUs also ?
:hmmmm2:

I dont have a tinysweeper, but i have tried with this software (schematics inside archive - it is very simply and based on MAX232, works via COM port fine)

You need register the dll files VB6FR.DLL...
put them inside windows\system and windows\system32

I guess sweep they generates is the same from comport or from tiny MCU.

However my question is still is it possible to control that target ECU has been cleared in any way besides testing in car ?

On car or connect scanner to ECU on table. If immobiliser error is still in data - ecu not clean and you must try again.
