hi

i hope this helps... i basically took the file loaded it onto a 93c56 chip and used an tacho pro to adjust the mileage. i am still a learner. so dont forget to make a back up of the original dump as the files could be wrong. but try it out. and let me know

Your programmer is faulty or use another 93C56 eeprom.

i think i will have to try get another chip drpeter. if i load the info onto a 24c02 chip, it takes it. but obviously not hundred percent. dont know why it still alows me to reload the original file back onto the chip. thanks. keep well.

For the odometer Hilux, often times I choose atmel 93c56 eprom (soic8 16bit).
And never failed.
Check your programmer, or replace a new eprom.

you make a bold statement!! what are you actually saying friend. if i was high, i would not have been asking advice!!! i would've been sitting in a pub getting pissed. instead you should be given advice, and not asking me a stupid question friend.

Here is a 93c56 test dump for you. If you can write and then read it back correctly, then your programmer is ok. If it will not write then read you need to sort your programmer out. There is no need to compare dumps as this is very easy to see. If your programmer is ok you have already been given the correct information here quite a few times. Arthur.

If it 93c56b and 93c86b it should be fine.

With the C versions pin 7 of 93c86 is Program Enable so you'd have to pull it high.

your dump also dont want to write friend. i have written the modified dump onto a 93c86 serial eeprom succesfully yesterday. so i guess the eeprom is not playing the game. will be testing it on the car today. keep well.

tested closks on car. not working. rev counter not working. odo just flashes 0.0. no odometer reading. so i guess the 93c86 chip is not working. now to find a other 93c56 chip. cheers.
