hi , any drill experts out there ..just bought a new 24v drill .
off ebay mind seem cheap but brand new ,
looks brand new aswell .
at first had a quick go .
mind the battery was flat ish . then it seemed like a burning smell , coming out the vent .
then it went . i charged up the other battery seems to have gone ...puzzled hope its not knackered
its a ryobi 24v drill

u could try fitting new brushes...next time go for makita drills

It will probably be dust on the bushes, ohh you said it was new it will be the bushes wearing in. If the smell is still there after a good use then it's faulty...

thanks i will let yous know ... i have a aeg drill is brill .
also use to have makita and they are great drills .
just the price was to good to be true with the ryobi .
hope its just needs wearing in the brushes thanks

if its a cordless unit you are suppose to charge first before use
read instructions for time needed to charge.

try checking the hz, is it 50 or 60hz?

Its just the protective coating put on for storage and shipping. Twill be fine.:sheep:
