GM - MAC7242 - clear needed

Hello,

We have new 2011 GM 1350 5636 module with MAC7242.

Can anyone suggest a fix for this one?

i think it can be clered by obd.i did one on 2010 gmc terrain with ds 708 autel few months ago.

Snap-on Ethos has an update for the 2011 / 2012? Last update we have is 2010 (nothing else is available up here).

Not sure if there is a tool out there with 2011s/2012s... my Autel has up to 2008...

hi almgar,you say you can clear crash with your snap on?you just have to clear code or is a special fonction?i had clear the code on a equinox 2010 with autoenginuity but crash still in.

Yes, sorry for not being too clear: I need the fix the CRASH code/data for this module, not the usual DTCs...

:hmmmm:can u post code number and details... how the new modules with mac memory , explain crash codes...., before was B0051 (ACDELCO), THEN B0052(TYCO), now, ?

AMLGAR - we can't read this module on the CAN... we don't have tool which can do 2012... so we can't tell what codes it has...

Is there another way to read stored DTCs??

read it as 2010 cadillac scalade ... i hope this help...thats what i do, firs time long time ago, when toyota yaris was release ,, i did not have it,, and i use to red it like Prius, ..and it worked, like many others brands... but maybe u are right...:driver:

Thanks.. i think our Ethos is a bit behind. But I know for a fact that this new module (MAC7242) was introduced since 2011. 2010s have the older model.

And trust me, we tried all models... we still could not communicate. Will try find someone with an updated Snap-on, since they seem to be the only ones with 2011 cars...

I stand corrected!!! Wow... I had a 2010 SRX which was still the aluminum box.... so they did start with these ones in 2010...

I JUST CLEAR A 2010 GM EQUINOX... BY OBDII, need clear codes fisrst in PPS, this module are like,, SOME DODGE, AND CRHYSLER.... I DONT IF SOME PEOPLE CAN NOT DO IT, BUT I DID IT,,, OR ITS JUST GOOD LOCK :laugh:
