I have just decided to go the Openbox route and can see the S9/10/11/12 and was wondering which would be the best option? in terms of firmware and update etc and available information on here.
Also are there any with dual turner so that I can watch one channel while recording another?
thanks in advance.

Does that mean, other version does not have composite and does any one of them support dual turner?

the higher # you go the more is stripped off.s11 and beyond had no composite out.
s9 had scart s10 no scart
forget dual tuners.

I would always go for the latest and greatest, which happens to be openbox s12.
half the size of dm8u0 which is very small.

I pulled the trigger and bought the s11, considering the amount of information available on here as I would prefer very little trial and error.

Hi all, seeing as I have just bought the s11, I have just being reading about the no signal issue with the s11 boxes, is this something I should be worried about so that I can cancel the order and buy another either the s10 or s12 whichever is better, as I would prefer to avoid buying the signal booster if possible by buying a diff box,
Thanks in advance.

I've personally had problems with the s10 and s11 its the tuners don't have the correct voltages on the vertical, lucky I can get spare parts for them and a new tuner board fixed the problem. Its just pot luck, depends where u bought from and if the batch was new. They do know about the problem over in china my source has told me.
