Hi,
I have read and erased a amd29f800bb from a vag me7.5 ecu but i can not programme, it gets to 18% says error at 0x30000 Chip=0xff buffer = 0xE0 and fails every time...
Have you any guidance on what i should check?
i have it set up as in the attached picture.

You must Check bad connection in one adress pin of flash. Or Try with another one New.

pls select the correct manufacturer while reading or writing other wise your flash will get corrupt try with another flash ..

Hi, time ago I had same problem with AM29F400BT ... I play 1 hour with it and no success ... I replace it with new one ... no problem then.

Ok thank you, i have tried everything possible over the last 24 hours (excluding a bit of sleep ;-)) and still no joy!
Does you know of a UK supplier of an AMD29F800BB?

pls select the correct manufacturer while reading or writing other wise your flash will get corrupt try with another flash ..
yes nasir is correct, you MUST select correct manufacturer ID. Incorrect manufacturer ID will still read chip ok but you wont be able to write to it. Never heard of flash getting corrupted by reading it though with Incorrect manufacturer ID?

disable mfg.ID option.
