Dear DKians,

I have an Opel Corsa D 1.3 Multijet 2007 model.
This car starts for 2 seconds and then it stops!
I got the U2108 DTC from the BSI! I'm starting to think that this is a very notorious DTC for the opel group as i've seen this before on an Opel Astra H with the EXATCLY SAME PROBLEM!! The astra case was unsolved....

This DTC indicates that there is a problem at the can bus network in the ABS module!
I've connected with OpCom and i've seen that the ecu shows rpm when trying to fire it up!

Doing a little search on the net i've seen that many people have this U2108 as a problem but can't find anything!! Others say change the ecu, others say check the wiring in the fusebox (which i've checked and it's all fine)

Note that i've checked the 6 and 14 pins of the obd socket,,, they have 50Ohms,,, and they are not shorted to earth!

Do you have any suggestions to make as this DTC is making me crazy with Opel cars?????

Thanks in advance

Is it bosch 5.3 abs?
use scope to check CAN signal, timings should be same, signal level should be inverted.
here's something to get you going:

It is the Bosch ESP8.1 abs!

Did you ever check can signal between ecu and abs?
Maybe you find something useful:

the thing is that t*rrent file is connected to my username, and if there's too many downloads from my username I can get banned....because i don't share enough to cover so many downolads....anyway find someone who can do it and i will give him file without problem.

I"VE FOUND IT!!!!!!

Yesterday accidentaly i've disconnected a vaccum pipe that was going to the throttle body housing and the car started!!!!
I've noticed that this pipe when was connected it wouldn't let the throttle open so the engine gets air!!!
I've disconnected it and the car is absolutly fine!!!

I'm telling you this is getting very weird with Opel cars!!

P.S. I have another Opel (AStra H) and it has the same DTC (Can bus network)!! I don't really believe that the fault is the can bus ;)!

Cheers

Electrically controlled vacuum valve? Hmmm...
Yesterday i got a Grand Vitara 2004 HDI RHZ at my store.... the problem was that it wouldn't go up to 3000rpm! I got faults like MAF, TC valve, even safe mode (immo) dtc!

After searching A LOT :sheep: ............. i've found NOTHING!
Today the opel problem got in my mind and i got suspicious.....
I've disconnected the vacuum line that goes to the throttle and the Vitara is FINE!!!!!!!!!!
I was like.... WTF!?>#$#$#!

I've tried to figure out what is causing all this but the vacuum network is very complex,,, it goes to the two EGRs, to the TC valve, to the throttle and so on...... Some of the vacuum pipes are even connected to each other!

Can anyone explain what is going on with this "cutting" of the throttle by the vacuum??

The engine does not stop as quickly, and in emergencies (oil in the intake duct) you can't stop the engine even if you want the engine to put him out!
:lollypop: :D
But when everything is normal is it no problem to cut the vacuum hose from the trottle valve.
And yesterday's diesel has also to do it without the valve.

I mean, why everything works fine after i disconnect this $#*** vacuum line?

No problem (if you left the vacuum on other (EGR and more) intact!:D

Hahahaha lol man!
I mean, what is causing the throttle to close?
I'm gonna leave the vacuum disconnected :D ,,,,, but i just wanna learn what is causing this ;)

The goal to close the trottle-valve is to get controll to the engine to go off very quick !! :D
So the trottle-valve must open alway's when the engine is running !

omglol

Does anyone know if Y30DT (3.0 V6 CDTi) has same problem? I have non starter Vectra C ... and from time to time there is also can-bus fault on ABS.

Hi

It will not start or, it will not crank..........?

And if it will not crank then the Can-Bus faults on ABS can cause this problem for not to crank.............its common a faults on them........make sure the ABS multi plug is nicely cleaned and secured properly........

You should really give it a try..... disconnect the vaccum that goes to the throttle

Sorry friend, I'd misunderstood you.

The throttle body clamps, and must be replaced.

Man this is sick, I haven't seen a single Opel(2004-) car that has NO CAN BUS DTCs INSIDE!

Even if the car runs smoothly and everything is fine there is always a can bus error :O
