The Premier League is in the process of shutting down European broadcasters***8217; access to Saturday 3pm kick-offs to protect its ***8220;closed window***8221; in the UK, in a move that threatens to reduce clubs***8217; revenues from overseas broadcast rights.


every European sat company only allowed one 3pm game aweek and no english coms from now on

I think this will have a long term positive effect rather than a short term loss......

When the premiere league rights are up, I can see individual clubs like Liverpool, Man utd / city, Chelsea all wanting to sell their rights individually to the masses to keep their foreign legions of fans happy..

And will hopefully break the Sky / Permier League monopoly.

Great news. Maybe get proper sports on the TV now instead of overpaid foreigners.

be nice now if itv and bbc join forces and out bid sky next year .. they have loads of channels to fill now
