Can some one tell me what is the main difference between EX5000 and Ex5100 apart from new tuner and cloning issue. Is Ex5100 clone Proof. Who makes the clones and where they come from?

No difference what so ever.
I've got both the 5000 & 5100 pvrs.
Euro just brought this out because of the cloned issues.
WHY CAN'T ALL THESE MAKERS JUST MAKE ONE GOOD BOX AND STICK WITH IT!
It seem they are all bringing out a new box every month!

not got one of these m8 got ex5000pvr so thinkin it's same to work remove hdd do factory reset the flash it with firmware & rescan for channels

well if you had posted earlier when Father ted told you to in shoutbox, you would have access to d/loads by now. you have to wait for server to update. try again in about 10 mins

Hi All

New to all this had my box for 3months Eurovox5100 with 16.1.09 firmware loaded. All was working ok untill 2weeks ago now the picture is breaking up and every now and then it will say no signal. Signal and level is showing 84% got a jobby(dont no what they are called) from maplins to lower signal yet it still shows 84% tried factory reset uploaded firmware full scan i get all the channels but just the same after 10 mins or so can anyone help with this.??

You have to be patient. Look under Forum for" Eurovox". You will find "How to Flash Eurovox" in there and the soft ware you need for EX5100.Read all the instructions thoroughly before you start to download the software. All the information you require is on thisis on this Wewbsite. Good luck.

The quickest way to unscramble a scrambled channel is to do amanual scan. Press Info twice, note down the frequency of the scrambled channel. Go to menu then to installation- manual scan- find the scrambled frequency- OK it then press manual scan button. It would take few seconds, and you would have scrambled channel back on.Ensure to check for the Correct Provider for your area. NHL. CW etc.

Have a read of the "STICKY" section first, it explains how to update your box and what u need.

hi and welcome to the fourm you will have to flash it first with the latest firmware whitch you can get from downloads then do a deep scan.

in properties have you clicked on port settings and then advanced in that box in that you will see the port number with a drop down box. if any of the ports 1-4 are free click on one of them to change the port number.

There are separate firmwares for Ex5000 and 5100.Ensure you use the correct one for your box.

Your friend may be in a different area and therefore have a different frequency.

Check all your cable connections, that is from the outside as well as inside the house and your box. You must have live feed from the cable provider otherwise you will keep getting the message NO Signal.

You will need to flah the box with the latest firmware before the channels will unscramble.

Hi I've got a Eurovox 5100pvr and I've had it for 18 mths now with no probs whatsoever! Just this week I lost everything, every channel so I re flashed the firmware only to get back one fifth of the channels. I keep deep scanning and also fast scanning but I dont have any luck. nagra3 encryption no fix or update will help your box.

Hi m8, sounds like the beginning of nagra 3 in your area.
Has your area/town received new cards from VM?
If you have than within 2/4 weeks most of the channels if not all will be lost.
There is no fix for nagra3 encryption.

(...and using CAPS will not fix the problem either)
