Hi guys,
I have a weird problem and I think the ECU is faulty.
The car is Alfa 145 2.0 1996 with ECU M.2.10.3, the lambda was stuck, it was not moving at all, so I replaced it with a new genuine lambda sensor.
Still not moving, so I suspected the problem was in the ECU. I changed the ECU for another one and the lambda started to work fine. Changed back to the original ECU and it would not work again.
My question: what do you think is wrong with this ECU?
If the lambda sensor itself is fine and it will not change its reading, does it mean the ECU is not correcting the fuel trims?
How can I test this ECU and is there a way to repair it?
Thank you!
