If you are using oscam it should open up encrypted channels as that reads the bk. Dont think any other cam does though. Its easy enough to get the bk if you need it.

i don't have the box?
helping a mate out , hes upgraded to a hd box, was told there send a new box/card out , but i think they blocked the old card I'm trying

i didn't know thay can turn off a card if the entitlements are OK?

depends on which entitlements are on it and how many there are

an old card will have around 8 or 9 on it and the expiry dates will be about 6 weeks ahead

pick tv will open in oscam, also c5HD and maybe a few others

no b*xkey is required apart from premium channels like movies and sports

you dont need a sky box to get the key

oscam might not be running right
you can check with cccam to see if pic clears

to get the boxkey from oscam
go to readers
click show entitlements
box id will show like this
[videoguard2-reader] serial: xxxxxxx, BoxID: xxxxxxxx, baseyear: 1997

then open up your cccam cfg
paste this in with your boxkey

CARD READER: /dev/sci0
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/sci0 3570000
BOXKEY: /dev/sci0 XX XX XX XX

if pic clears with cccam your oscam not set up right

if no pic on premium channels they have killed the premium channels

card is only good for FTA ie: five hd pick tv ect
