smartphone china clone?

anybody tried a android smartfone china clone? or any of those tablet pcs?

I've tried a couple of the tablets and they seem to work just fine. It really depends what your after though as, like most things, there are both cheap and somewhat more expensive chinese devices. Even in the Chinese market the more expensive items tend to be the better quality with more functionality. If you know exactly what you want though, then you should be able to get the equivelent direct from China at a cheaper price.

Be careful with things like import duty and taxes. These can be a killer erroding any savings you may make if your not careful. Also be wary of any guarantee's. Its usually uneconomical to return faulty items so you would mostly end up just writing off the cost. For some this can be a deal-breaker !

Also don't buy from ebay as most of them are much cheaper from websites like pandawill or priceangels, which is where a lot of ebay sellers dropship their stuff from, after putting a fee on top.

The cheap ones from china tend to be cheap, the main thing is battery life, the cheap ones consume loads of power,but the most expensive ones are as good as you will get over.
