recording from timer

hi peeps just wondering why i cant record from timer? been told it is possible but some reason i cant do it?

set timer when i go to record the option to record isnt highlited it says ps record no but i cant highlight it to select yes? i can record if it not from timer tho?

ignore me im a pleb lol for anybody who is as thick as me just go to timer type and move right to record lol
