Hello All,

I just purchased a lot of 10 Detroit Diesel DDEC 4 NGAS. Does anyone know if I can reprogram this ECM to use for diesel?

I had contact my local Detroit Diesel dealer and the service manager said that this Ngas ECM is different from the Diesel one. I asked him to reprogram it to the Diesel version, but he its not possible. I'm not sure if something is different internally.

Do you know if anyone can reprogram these ECM to diesel?

more than likely you have the 23519310 ecm's
check and see what version software you have on them, will be somewhere around 32.6 or so. never tried but it may be possible to stick a diesel cal in it, but more than likely you will need to use a 23519308 ecm. the met files are different also, 32D for diesel and 32G on the gas

Would you have any files for the gas engines? what i'm really looking for is ddrs files for a gas engine

yes you can reprogram to diesel but you have to replace some internal parts, like cylinder head piston and have to buy injector harness and 6 diesel inyector beacuse the principle of operation is totaly diferent
