have a problem here and i need some help if possible please,
year-06
vw polo 3 cylinder 1.2

car drives on all cylinders no problems at all but when the car comes to a stop the engine light comes on and number 2 cylinder is not working , when the car takes off again engine light goes off and car runs on all cylinders and when come to a stop everytime engine light comes back on again and number 2 cylinder stops working again, have tried new coil pack etc. and its seem to be the ecu itself i think, anyone ever come across this problem, would be grateful for a fix if possible. thanks

Hi, What engine code, u probally have timing chain problem, set up engine timing & see if they line up. Regards P.

Hi i had this problem and it was conrod slightly damaged

thanks guys so when you changed the conrod it sorted the problem ?

1) what does fault code say
2) last thing at night, yank out fuel pump fuse, so dies lack of fuel - see if injector
dribbling over night.

3) possable why the other one had bent con rod
