hi m8,
the sssp was set up originaly to let the tm 1000 receiver
to connect to the server and then the other tm models
and the tm models used the null modem cable as they dont have the ethernet port, if you box can use a lan cable give it a try when this first came out i had a lot of difficult getting it on the server and i hav'nt tried for a long time, now a lot of posts report it working useing server 4, the problem with free servers is they are unstable

Benny..do you think this will be available on 3000? And what channels open with sssp? Does sssp work with the normal 6800?
Has anyone on this forum tried sssp?

sssp works seperatly with receiver connected to a PC via null modem cable, with something like windows sharing pack (WSP) running at the same time. again, select newcamd protocol and fill in the details as outlined below on one of the server tabs, connect the software to your receiver, then connect to the server and youll see the keys in the bottom window as theyre transfered from the server to your receiver via your PC

Cardsharing on technomate 6900 6800 super with SSSP and 8281
pressing 8281 brings up the server menu in this you have to add the name of the server, username and password, port, address and DES key

a newcamd line looks like the following

CWS = About-servers (http://www.server.com) 10000 user password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 wan server

address
port
username
password
DES key
server

then press the remotes yellow button to attempt to connect to the server

Alun

Thanks for the info, have always been curious about this and other forums seem reluctant to give any info unless you are in the magic circle!

will it work with 5400 super and what do you think about using it with a rs232 converter to ethernet
when we can use it with a converter we can also go wireless.

Kind regards
