View Full Version : Best image for Sagem dbox2

Any opinions on what's the best image for a Sagem dbox2?

And where can I find basic step-by-step instructions to do this?

What are the dangers of mucking it all up and being left with a useless box? I am a newbie and there is a possibility that this might happen.

The only thing that will screw your box up is if you choose anything except 'FLASH WITHOUT BOOTLOADER' when you're flashing it. Always choose 'FLASH WITHOUT BOOTLOADER.

I see in your other post that you have sportster running. This is a very old image and I suggest you try the latest image...here...

Also download PT-1s Helpfile. That has everything you will ever need to know about a DBox2.

Why not try the Laky image? It's simple enough to transfer from 2x to 1x by using the converting software (imageworks).

Hope this helps.

I tried the Blade Quad image and it looks great.

Nice menus and simple. Just had to ftp it, flash it and used the 'set my location' and I was up and running. Pretty cool.

Hi Superguy

Your experience with the blade image has convinced me that it's the one to use on my Sagem.

Presumably you are still happy with it?

Very happy, the menus are much better than the old sportster image I had.

I was surprised how easy it all was

commando 9.25 has been flashed to many of my boxes of late. stable and sexy enough for my liking. I was a sporster fiend before then tho.

I guess it depends what you are used to and what you like.

Ive had a nightmare sagem under my bed for ages and i found the pacino trilogy the best image for it..everything else failed so I'd recommend that image.

theres only 2 images worth using, they are lincsat on the nokias if its 32mb ram if not andromeda on 16mb, and on sagems always use the andromeda as they tend to struggle with the more flashy lincsat. All the rest are garbage mostly commando10,laky and the pathetic enigma.

If you got nothing Constructive to say about the top images out there,Dont slate them
You just prob havent got the Experiance to get them working
Correctly
Stick with Lincsat as it fully loaded
And will save you the time of Learning How to use the more Modern images
Have a nice day..................Paul

very insulting post,...a lot of work,. and dedication go into image making,....without these peeps hard work and constant development,...the dbox would have stood still,...and just for the record,.i use commando 10d on my nokias,"faultless" ...and andromeda on my sagems x2 and enigma for x1.

Old saying, but a very true one- A bad workman always blames his tools...

With an average of one post per month since you joined, you're clearly a free TV'er who likes to be spoon-fed with full-house PnP images, and don't give a toss for the risks that the compilers of such images run, nor the fact that the admin of boards hosting such stuff are liable for time inside, nor are you in the least bit interested in spending 5 minutes of your vital TV time on putting the 'finishing touches' to a board-legal image release.

No doubt we'll be hearing from you again two minutes after the next 'hit' - demanding a fix?

All dbox2 have 2 scarts, the original dbox have 3 scarts and this type of box use to use cam and card with a working image for N1 decryption.

the 1x and 2x images depend on whether the sagem dbox2 has 1 or 2 chipsets on motherboard, these can be seen thru the vents or take the cover off.

cheers
