BMW E60 dash change MI->KM

Hello,

I have customer who wants change Dash from MILES to KMS. I need your advice on what I need to change in the chip to make it work (other than mileage)...

VIN#? What else? And how to change this fields?

HI,you can change it with NCS-Expert tool from INPA

Put a kms. dump from an identical spec car, change the mph dial sheet to a kms. one and change the vin. I have done this the other way kms. to miles. Arthur.

Now customer gave me new dash in Kms (kms are less than what car has now). Can this dash be plugged in and then just program the VIN #?

Or do i need to change something else?

Interesting... Don't where youlocated but for example all US versions allow you to toggle from Mi to KM though the iDrive by going the Units menu. All you need is to put a KM face plate. But again that's for US versions, don't know about UK versions.

Yes, the dash can be toggled back and forth. But it never crossed my mind to just swap the black dials... is it easy to do?

Now I have the Kms dash in and the mileage with a DOT. Also the VIN is incorrect... Any way to change this? (other than removing the EEPROM again for reprogramming...)...

Am wasting way too much time on this one...... :(
