Hello,

i hope you can help me out.

i got a problem with xprog.

I want to programm a Motorola processor MC68HC912Dx128A mask 3k91d

I have written the eeprom with no problem.

I have read the flash with no problem, but its empty.

I have found a flash dump for this processor and i try to write it, to the flash.

It writes with no problem, but after it when it's start to verifiy at about 20% it get a verifiy error and it ask me to ignore or to cancel.

Do you have any idea why?

Thats how i do it with xprog 5.0:

Open the .BINW Flash Dump,

RUN -> DEVICE -> Motorola HC(S)12-secured -> MC68HC912Dx128A-Flash-secured

OK

and WRITE BUTTON

Something wrong??

I write it by USB

Best regards

Xprog-m don't verify OK.
Just write, then read and compare files.
If you read and file is equal to original Everiting is ok.

XPROGM can not read and write properly flash !!!

I read and write this flash with xprog-m clone without problems.
Use a good 12V power supply.
Do not use USB, simply use serial RS232 port and you have success.

Yes my friend, good 12V power supply and RS 232 is all you need to read and write without problems.
Sometimes is useful whe use the oscilloscope (and the brain).

if you are trying to do this to an ecu you need external power supply.

Same issue with 9s12D60 ,R/W EEPROM OK ,read flash ,write flash but when read back large part of begining of dump is FF ,then is ok as it should .
Tried :
-soldering check
-downgrading to 5.5.1
-another laptop
-external power for dash .I discovered that with Xprog only voltage for mcu was about 2.5 volts and eeprom reading was ok ??With power for dash 5 volts ok
-pin lifting (Vpp ,osc ,reset )
-100 k resistor mod
-using RS232 port instead of USB ,same behavior
I am new to Xprog and was dreaming that is enough to buy and can clone anything by r&w flash&eeprom
So far I have 3 hypothesis :
-bad clone
-this normal ,but mcu is dead
-noob user
Ideas ?

With 3K91D XPROG-BOX original reads and verifies correctly.
