Try and see if you can read the ISN number with bmw scanner in the engine ecu live data.

I think you will have to open the ecu and read the flash and eeprom. then we will be able to find your ISN number and write it into the used ews.

Hi,

I bought a new (used) EWS3 for my E53 and set it to factory defaults with EWS Editor.

Unfortunately i am not able to make EWS-DME Sync with DIS.

Is something wrong with the files?

I want to ask? what are the problems of the original EWS?
if the hardware is damaged. you do have to replace it and use old data . and if the software is corrupted, you can fix it. why you should make a virgin EWS, it will not work. unless you have to make a virgin ecu.

if you buy a new EWS from the dealer, the new EWS existing ISN, you just make a syn. if you want to replace EWS with used ews , you should know ISN of the car, ( you can get from ecu or ews)

this data has reset.. you can use on donor ews or original ews...
make syn by GT1. will work with old key..
