Hi guys,
I have an Audi TT with IMMO 3. I purchased K+ Commander and found it worthless for getting the PIN for my cluster.
What is the best program to use for reading the troublesome Magnetti Marelli M73. I really need my PIN to program a new key.
I can read the EEPROM using K+ Commander MM Shadow 3 (TT) but that's all the program is good for. Don't know how to intepret the HEX.

Use VagTachoUSB for this model.

thanks. Since I've already purchased two different OBD-II cables, one for VAG-COM and one for VAG-Commander K+ I'm going to hold off on yet another for Vag Tacho lol.
I posted up my EEPROM here:

Can I open that file inside VagTacho to read the PIN out or is VagTacho and VagCommander K+ different BIN formats?

Hello
Did you read this file from ecu that was tuned?
There are 2 lines in the eeprom where stored the pin.
The must be the same.
In your file the are different.
Try 00636

interesting. I read the EEPROM from the cluster and then from the tuned ECU. I posted two different files. Strange they would be different, I can start my car about 90% of the time first try, the other 10% I get immobilzer failures (with the same key). Perhaps this part of the reason.
I know APR says they encrypt their tuned ECU so people can't copy them and resell them, maybe that has something to do with the diffeernt number. I'll try the new 00636 pin inside VAG-COM when I get home tonight.

if you turn the ignition on with an unprogrammed key then switch it off on the tt and a3 the dash locks for 35 mins also 3.1 commander is tacho opel/vw it is crap

Tried to login to the Immobilizer again with 00636 and got the same mesage, not accepted, turn off ignition and wait blah blah.
I just purchased VagTacho 3.0 + Opel off Ebay with cable :( At this rate I could have paid the dealer to just program my key for $113 USD. So much for saving some money from the Audi dealer. I still think it outrageous to charge that much for a key programming.
If anyone wants to try extracting the PIN let me know.
The strange thing about Vag-Com 409.1 is it reads the engine codes fine, lets me erase DTC's even read measuring blocks, but in the Immobilizer section I can't use any of the measuring blocks, maybe that's normal until you login don't know.
Appreciate everyone's support and will let you know if I ever crack my cluster.

I recaptured the cluster and ecu eeprom's using a different version of k commander, I used version 1.4 which seems to work better. Maybe the PIN will be visible in these files. They sure are different when I look at the HEX.
How can you tell in the HEX where the PIN begins, I tried looking for a bunch of FF FF FF and the PIN is supposed to be right after that?

your dumps seems to be corrupted ... This means you don't have the right tools .... if you have a simple programmer, you might do this job in a few minutes, not two weeks ...
I think your right login code for your ecu is it 02530
Test it and let me know if is ok.

On the ignition Switch is a read coil these are often broken then you get these problems.
Your immo is saved in the ic95040 in the Ecu on row 0x32 and 0x33 and 0x42 and 0x43 must have the same bits
In your file that is differend.
To a good read of the ic95040 you have to disabel the Ecu.
But first try other coil.

You were right! That code worked all along, I can login to the ECU and Cluster. You know my problem was I was trying to login in the Immobilizer menu, not Instruments in Vag-Com, now that I figured that out it works.
Thanks for you help :)
