Convert kms required to miles. Change to this figure, replace the dash, switch the ignition on and hold the trip button in until the display changes to kms. Arthur.

I make it with original dump and calculate with tachosoft but you have to swap byte, example:... if you have FE CD you put CD FE on the first line 00x0 where is the mileage stored and that?s it.
I make it with xprog-m on the board, but sometimes gives you acknowledge error, ignor it you have to insist on the xprog-m write button up to 100% and you have your memory writed. Thanks everybody.

These cars are up to 16 years old. I first did one clip to chip in 1996. It is more difficult to remove the cluster and open it than it is to program it. I used a ?50 eeprom programmer, no fancy tools in those days. 10 seconds to read, 1 minute to edit, 10 seconds to program. No tachosoft to calculate only brain and windows calculator. Since about 1997 it has been done OBD in 30 seconds. You have been all day. Has it been worth it? Arthur.

I only asking for help, i dont need to know your life story, and yes is worth it, i dont let the things until they are done.
Not all the people are smart like you, i wonder why you dont win a Nobel price.
I?m not wining money doing this, like you, i only help a friend to pass the revision and he buy a junkyard dash but with much more km that his car.
Sorry for my english he toke me all day to write this message,as you see.

flourescent, firstly your English is fine. I admire your work ethic, (keep going until the job is done). I am sorry if it appeared that I was trying to be clever. This was more for other people to read as most on here would do this job by OBD. As to whether it was worth it, well financially it wouldn't be but for experience, now you know how to do it the long way, yes it was worth it. Once again, I am sorry if I caused you any offence. Arthur.
