multi meter ,, or have u another 12v brick ,,ie from your router or something to for a quick try , but dont use all the time if it works because u need a 12v 3 amp unit

Hi all
Today, I tried 3 models of bricks (12 v, 3-4 A) and nothing happened. I tried lombard's trick and the DM is styill black. what I noticed is that the inside LEDs are lit I mean the green one (tuner's LED) and a row of 5 red LEDs except the 3rd red one. I tried to switch the DM after removing the tuner : NO NEWS.

Do any of the capacitors look discolored or bulging at the top, if they are, might be worth replacing them, if your ok with a soldering iron. They cost pennies.
you can put a test on them with a multimeter if you know how, but if not, take the board to maplin's, they wont test it but they may tell better than you if it's worth replacing them.
Not saying that's your answer, but if you don't have anywhere to turn, its cheap to do and something else to eliminate.

Is this a new box or an old one that's stopped working?
