Just sorted out a 2003 Nissan pulsar with new key no start problem

Customer supplied key
I had no idea where from so I just programmed it and it started ok then left job then got call the next day saying pulsar wont start
So I go back reprogram key again and it starts
Anyway I found out if u remove key from ignition car won't start again
If u leave key in ignition car will start all the time

I'm guessing key was a clone
I got new genuine from Nissan and programmed it and problem all fixed

Just because it start does not mean it was program, what was your security light doing? Off, blinking, or solid?

Some Nissans are weird like that, sometimes the wrong chip will program in like normal and stop working after 10 starts.

He gave you the wrong key to program in, dealer gave you the right key.

Hope you charged him twice :)

The key wasnt programmed u just released the system to work like an emergency start, so when u got the good key it got programmed and solved the problem...

i programmed the dodgey clone key many times
used scanner with code 5523 and it worked until key was removed from igniton
it was just a stupid locksmith
the first key they cut was a plain old school metal key
they didnt realise the car had security
then they got a cheap chinese key and probably didnt realise they needed to program it
then i got the job after that
fixed it in the end with genuine key
the good thing is more work for me if the others are dumb heheheh
