Test and Report. Before writing, correct checksum or make sure that your tool make make checksum correction, because this is done with some universal software for egr off, so no checksum correction.

just open it in WinOLS and it will correct it for you. Export the file and write it.
I wouldn't trust generic EGR disabling programs though. I would use WinOLS and find the EGR map and flatten it if I were you.

Nice first post m8. First, such map modification will cause DTC about insufficient mass airflow and second, this program finds a switch, which is best solution. So please, take care what you will say next time.

Thank you for clarifying this. Learning about tuning for about a month now, it's easy to make mistakes. Also, in this month one of the first things I've been told repeatetly by gurus is that I should never use anything else but WinOLS for any modifications.
You can see now why I feel confused.
Anyway, in my short experience ( a few Clios, an Opel and Lagunas) I had no problems disabling EGR from WinOLS.

Sorry if I offended you.

dont think there's any offense, just got to be careful what you advise because there's more than one way to skin a cat, but only one might avoid the scratches ;)
